It was the most annoying tourney i have ever played. i didnt get a single hand over 55 in 6 hours, which looks close to mathematically impossible. But i can handle that. I read a terrific poker book zen and the art of poker which really helped me deal with these types of situations. Its the best book ever f you suffer from tilt problems. Anyway, the card drought is one thing, but i was sat next to an older asian gentlemen who was playing every single hand and hitting 90% of boards. Fair enough, but in every pot he would ask his opponent " you got bobbys(jacks)" .the dealer thought this was hilarious so he was parroting it also. Plus i got 4 stitches dangling from my head and looked like chav scum. Eventually i got to 10 bbs and shoved an ace from the cut off , you know the rest. Next up is Bolton 4th sept which i already have a ticket for already.

I made a decision that i was going to increase my work rate this month to 20k hands a week, and 80k total.(50k average atm) In general i think the games are getting slightly harder each month, so i thought i better make hay while the sunshines. Part of me thinks that the losers in poker wont ever quit, as they dont stop playing roulette, or horse racing etc, so why should they quit poker. The othe r arguement is that the donks will all have spent up in the next 2 years and it will be all reg versus reg tables, which is a frightening thought. Maybe the games will always be beatable, im not sure, but everything changes in life and i dont want to look back in 2 years and think i wish i had played more and made a killing at the tables back then. 20 hands a week at 650 hands an hour, 8 tabling, equates to 35 hours a week. A proper job, ish, well not really. lol

Most my profits this month will be re-invested in trying to catch that elusive big win in a donkament. WCOOP on stars starts in sept and the ipoker 1500 freezeout is also next month. ive qualified for nearly every event, and theres a lot of events, so fingers crossed. Last year i made the mistake of playing too much and was burnt out for the wcoop and donked off mostly.
